Stanisław
Rosiek

A literary historian, essayist and publisher. Since 1977, he has worked at the Institute of Polish Language and Literature at the University of Gdańsk. He was the editorial team member of Litteraria, Punkt and Podpunkt  journals, as well as the Punkt po Punkcie annual. Together with Maria Janion, he co-edited three volumes of the Transgresje series (Galernicy wrażliwości, 1981, Osoby, 1984, Maski, 1986). In the 1970s, he engaged in literary criticism. Together with Stefan Chwin, he wrote Bez autorytetu. Szkice (1981), for which he received the Kościelski Award in 1983. He co-founded the słowo/obraz terytoria publishing house, which he has headed as editor-in-chief (and later also as President) since 1995. During that time, the house has published over a thousand titles in the field of humanities, literature and art. He is the author (under the pseudonym Stanisław Salij) of around three hundred book graphic designs - some of them have received awards.

For the past few years, Stanisław Rosiek has mainly been researching the works of Bruno Schulz. The prelude to this research was Słownik schulzowski published in 2002 (with Włodzimierz Bolecki and Jerzy Jarzębski). He is currently the publisher of The Collected Works by Schulz, and the editor-in-chief   of the Schulz/Forum journal, which has been published since 2012. In 2021, his book entitled Odcięcie. Szkice wokół Brunona Schulza was published.
