A historian of contemporary history working at the Institute of History, University of Warsaw. From 2009 to 2017, he was the Assistant Director at the World War II Museum in Gdańsk, where he was responsible for preparing the main exhibition. He specialises in the history of Czechoslovakia and Czech-German relations in the 20th century. He is the winner of the Klio and Jerzy Giedroyc awards. His book Kiedy wybuchnie wojna? was among the seven finalists for the Nike Literary Award. In 2021, his latest book Niech sobie nie myślą, że jesteśmy kolaborantami. Protektorat Czech i Moraw 1939-1945 was published.
