An associate professor at the Division of Film and Media of the University of Gdansk, from 2012 to 2019, he was responsible for cinema education at Club Żak. One of the originators and the editors in Amatorzy TV (a group of cinema aficionados presenting online their monthly reports on cinema), he collaborates with the Ekrany magazine. He co-edited the book Orson Welles. Twórczość – recepcja – dziedzictwo. His articles have been published in Studia Filmoznawcze, Bliza, Lampa, Panoptikum, edukacjafilmowa.pl, and some collective works. He is completing a book on the self-referentiality in Polish narrative films. He has co-organised numerous conferences including Structures and Voices: Storytelling in Post-Digital Times―The NECS 2019 Conference and the 2017 Fast, Slow & Reverse. Faces of Contemporary Film Narration. He is a member of the Polish Association for Canadian Studies.
