She is a translator of Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian literature, an expert on Russian theatre and culture, and a curator of theatre projects in Poland and Russia. She has translated novels by Vladimir Sorokin or Victor Yerofeyev, classical drama including Anton Chekhov and Nikolai Gogol, as well as contemporary drama by Ivan Vyrypaev, Nikolay Kolyada, Yevgeni Grishkovetz, Vasily Sigarev, Pavel Priazhko, Klima and many others. She has worked in the Russian Philology Department at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University and as an editor in the Literatura na Świecie monthly magazine. She has been the co-creator and artistic director of the DEMOLUDY International Theatre Festival in Olsztyn (2006-2008), a juror at drama competitions in Yekaterinburg, Minsk and Perm, and she has also worked with the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. She is the curator of the ‘eastern portion’ of the Konfrontacje Teatralne Festival in Lublin; the curator of the Da! Da! Da! Współczesny Teatr, Dramat i Performans z Rosji Festival in Warsaw; and the curator of the Kolada Festival in Warsaw and the creator of its idea. She has been a juror at the KOLYADA – PLAYS International Theatre Festival of Contemporary Drama in Yekaterinburg, the TEXTURE International Film and Theatre Festival in Perm and the NOS Russian Literary Prize. She is also a member of the jury at Aurora - the Drama Award of the City of Bydgoszcz. She is a two-time recipient of the scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Likhachev Foundation. She is the winner of the ZAIKS Authors' Association Award for outstanding achievements in the field of translating Russian literature into the Polish language.
